Word of God for Today - Spirit, Soul and Body or Body, Soul and Spirit? & Judgment

pic:thepentecostalmission

-Spirit, Soul and Body or Body, Soul and Spirit?-

In God's word in 1Thess 5:23 says "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." God expects us to be blameless, holy and separated from the world in three areas; Spirit, Soul and Body. If you stay in Faith regarding this God will help you keep all three areas preserved until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world walks in the opposite; body, soul and spirit. And this is the order that many Christians are following.

If you keep your spirit strong feeding on God's Word then you wont have problems with your soul and body. The sins of the spirit are sins like unforgiveness, envy, jealousy, bitterness etc. In the book of Heb 12:15 "Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;" Bitterness is a spiritual sin and if left alone it will affect your soul until it manifests into some form of sickness into your body. Your bodies condition is a result of the condition of your spirit. Healthy spirit and healthy soul = a healthy body. The world tries to clean their body, they try to stop bad habits, give up vices, but if your soul (mind) is filthy with corrupt thoughts then how can you stop doing those things you hate? The way to clean your mind is to renew it. Rom 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." If you want to keep your body pure from the pollution of this world then you must renew your mind. That's were your spirit comes in. You need to read the Word of God regularly to feed your spirit in order to bring change to your mind which will in turn bring change to your body. Now you know why the order is first spirit, then soul and last body. This is the order God created us to live in and we are to walk in that order, a spirit led life not a flesh led life. To live in God's order will stop you from yielding to sin, Gal 5:16 "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."

Gal 5:25 "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

Living in the spirit will always cause life to follow instead of death._

-Judgment-

Judgment is associated with all that is encompassed in terms such as "the last days," "the Rapture," "the Second Coming," "the Day of the Lord," and so on. Strong's Concordance defines the Hebrew word of judgment as "a verdict (favorable or unfavorable)" coming from a root word meaning "to judge, that is pronounce sentence (for or against)."

We use "harvest" to name churches, or speak of revival, but "harvest" also implies judgment. Any harvest calls for a judgment, a separation. Natural harvests serve as examples of spiritual harvests in biblical usage. The good fruit is separated from the bad. The wheat from the chaff. The wheat form the tares. The sheep from the goats. Many are confused about biblical judgments. Some think there is going to be just one big "Judgment Day."..

Christians will not be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. That judgment will not occur until after the Millennium.

When Satan, after having been bound during the 1000 years of the Millennium, is loosed a little season will to gather a huge army from the nations to encompass earthly Jerusalem in an attempt to destroy the Jews. He thus serves God's purpose in gathering evil into one place. Evil, in this last separation or judgment of it, is consumed by fire coming down out of heaven to consume those caught up in it. The devil is cast into the lake of fire. After all this there is a resurrection of the dead who have not before been raised. Then there is a judgment before the Great White Throne of God. Word of God for Today - Are You Ready? & A Place Too Much Like Hell

pic:vikrant

-Are You Ready?-

Jesus is coming back! There are many people in the world today who don't believe that, just as the Bible prophesied in 2 Peter 3:3-4 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." But those people are very mistaken, Jesus said "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Mat 24:36) Jesus made it very clear that there is an appointed day and hour for His return and He will catch away those who are prepared and ready for His coming, to bring us to heaven to celebrate for 7 years then bring us back to the earth to rule and reign with Him.

The close of the Church age and the end of things as we know them is coming near. God has already reminded us through His written Word and by His Holy Spirit that Jesus is coming back. The question is are you ready? Many Christians today are not ready for the return of Jesus and if they are not ready then they will not go up with Him when he comes for the Church. If Christians believed Jesus was coming back then they would obey 1John 3:3 "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." This hope that John is speaking about is the return of the Lord and he instructs us to keep our self pure; pure from what? Pure from the world. We are not to act like the world, we are to be just like Jesus, in our ways, actions and behavior. For the average Christian today they have a hard time living right, going to church and obeying Gods Word, they are like those mentioned in Luke 14:16-24, the story of the great supper, they were too busy to attend the great feast, because they were involved more in the business of daily life and so consumed with the things of the world. If Christians are too busy now for the Lord then how much more when he returns, He will only come for those who are prepared, waiting and looking for His appearing. God wants us to enjoy success, wealth and all material blessings on this earth, but at the same time He does not want them to take higher importants than Him. Les us do what 1Thess 5:6 says "Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and sober." We are to enjoy the earth and its fullness, but at the same time we are to be ready in our hearts for the return of the Lord.

-A Place Too Much Like Hell-

A young lawyer who was an atheist, boasted that he was going west to a place where there were no churches, no Sunday schools, and no Bibles. The young lawyer could not last a whole year, he wrote to a classmate, who was a young minister, begging him to come out and start a church. "Be sure to bring plenty of Bibles," he said. "I have become convinced that a place without Christians, Sunday schools, churches, or Bibles is too much like hell for any living man to stay in." For many they may not be living hell on earth, but hell will always be found at the end of a Christless life. But for those who are with Christ they can live a Glorious life with a Glorious end.

Word of God for Today - By Faith or By Sight & The Lost Boy

pic:julieamarxhausen

-By Faith or By Sight-

In God's word in 2Co 5:7 says "For we walk by faith, not by sight."
The average Christian today walks by what they see rather than what the Word of God says. And that's the reason why we have so many Yo-Yo Christians, up one day and down the next. Never in the Bible does it teach up and down Christianity. The Bible does teach us to be stable, immovable and steadfast when it comes to standing on His Word. We are called to walk by Faith in order to change our situation and circumstances that we face each day. Walking by Faith is so simple that we often end up confusing ourselves when we try to walk by Faith. The Bible never says to try but to do it. Its very simple, whatever situation you are in find a verse of scripture that will oppose it and stand on it until it changes. Gods Word is proven, and far too many Christians doubt His Word, exalting the problem higher. Lots of Christians say they believe the Bible but when the pressure hits are they still around believing and standing on His Word?

When was the last time you were thrown in a lions den?, or into a fiery furnace?, or was sentenced to be executed? If that was the case where would your Faith be? In these last days God is looking for Faith in the believer and if He finds none then He cannot help as much as he would like to. David was a young man who stood out from all of the nation of Israel because he decided to confront Goliath, and instead of walking away in fear and trembling as the rest of them did, he decided to believe his covenant of protection he had with God concerning enemies that would arise against him, he believed what was written in the Old Testament as a reality. You need to be prepared to face the Goliath's in your life, because they are not just going to go away. Get in the Word, pray, declare, believe what you read in the Bible.

A Christian who is unstable in his walk is a Christian who is unstable in his Faith. Faith is steadfast, immovable and a servant to the believer. In Matthew 8:5-10, It talks about a centurion who had faith in just the word alone that Jesus spoke. That Faith made Jesus marvel. Can you believe just the Word alone? Or do you need some proof that it would work? This world is getting worse and if you don't increase in faith you will decrease with the world.

-The Lost Boy-

Once a little boy was lost in the woods. The alarm was sounded; people at the church meeting stopped; the whole congregation and neighborhood responded. Fishermen abandoned their nets and businessmen closed their shops. Farmers left the fields and women their washing in the tub. Everyone left what they were doing to look for the lost boy. The night was now dark but they kept searching for him. After hours of search, he was found, and oh, the joy that was felt because of the rescue!

Today that boy is grown. He is lost again! But this time no one seems to care. Mom and Dad are busy with other things. The church does not seem to care. No alarm was sent our. Yet, a far worse fate awaits him now. You see, he is not lost in sin! And an eternal Hell awaits him now.

Word of God for Today - Seed Time and Harvest & Biblical Prosperity Proven

pic:marcwhittinghq

-Seed Time and Harvest-

In God's word in Gen 8:22 says "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease". This law that God had established on sowing and reaping will always be around while this earth remains. This law is not only a natural law but also a spiritual law. You sow good or bad attitudes then you will reap good or bad attitudes. Jesus said in Mat 26:52 "Then Jesus said to him, Put up you sword again into its place; for all who take the sword shall perish with a sword".

You look at drug dealers, thieves or terrorists, they are all in the class of living by the sword, so they will die by the sword. You notice that they don't usually live long, what they sow they will reap, what they have done to hurt others will come back on them 100 fold. Every tragedy or every blessing came as a result of seed sown. We need to realize that we live on earth in seed time and harvest 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What we say with our mouths are seeds that will grow and produce a harvest good or bad. Tragedies, calamities and disasters that has happened to many different nations are a direct result of sin being sown in that nation. The tsunami that took place in the Indian Ocean in that affected parts of Asia was a direct result of a harvest of sin being sown. A nation that despises the things of God and does their best to kick God out, they will reap judgment. When sin rules in a nation then the earth will eventually react in the form of earthquakes, volcano eruptions, etc. There are some disasters caused by man but most is caused by sin. Many people can give you a natural explanation why these disasters occurs, but the Biblical reason is a result of a sin seed that was sown.

Gal 6:7 says "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also will reap". Sowing bad seeds and expecting to reap a good harvest is mocking God. Every negative word or action you sow will result in a bad harvest. On the other side every positive word of action you sow will result in a good harvest. Remember the harvest will always be bigger than the seed that was sown. So if you don't like what you have been reaping then change the seed that you have been sowing. We are in a time that the sowing and reaping principle has been accelerated, so make sure all you sow is good seed and not bad.

Word of God for Today - Move Forward or Slip Back & The Importants of The Local Church

pic:reunitedrelad

-Move Forward or Slip Back-

In God's word in Heb 2:1 says "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip". Sometimes we can be so caught up in today's victories that tomorrow we end up in defeat. That should not be the case. The day you were born again is the day you entered into eternal victory, our Christian walk should excel and grow in faith on a continual basis. The issue is not how fast you grow but are you still growing? When we turn away from the promises of God we will begin to slip back and end up being worse than we were before we got saved.

The Bible tells us in Romans 1:17 that His righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, this shows that everything we learn is a progression from faith to faith, meaning we don't stop at the level where we are, but continue to advance in our understanding and faith towards God. This verse also tells us that the just shall live by faith, if you Word level drops down then so will your faith. When that happens then you will start to slip back and start to loose and give in to the attacks from the devil that come your way, until you are eventually knocked out!

Have you noticed companies like Coca Cola, Caltex and Nissan, how big they are? Well they didn't get big over night, they started small and got big because they continued to move forward and excel. Coca Cola is a wide world known product. Despite the fact that its bad for your insides people all around the world drink it, why? Because its well known and well advertised. You will never find a person who has not drunk coke! The company spends untold billions every year to advertise their soft drink and its still number one around the world today. Now if the Coca Cola company stopped growing then it will end up going broke and will be taken over by another soft drink company. All big companies have to keep on growing each year in order to survive another year in business, if they don't grow they will start to slip backwards. Any company that's stops growing will eventually end up bankrupt.

This is the same for the Christian, if we don't continue to progress in our faith, our walk with God then we are headed for spiritual bankruptcy and a defeated life. We need to keep moving on from faith to faith in order to become stronger, stable and immovable in our walk with God.

-The Importants of The Local Church-

pic:zazzle

In God's word in Mat 16:18 says "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". As Christians we need to have a fresh revelation on the importants of the local Church. One of the things that Jesus established on Pentecost was the local Church, He started building it over 2,000 years ago and He expects us to be part of His building program. In 1 Tim 3:15 says "But if I should delay, that you may know how you ought to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth". Paul says that the Church is the house of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth. If we live our lives without being hooked up to a local church then we have removed the pillar and the foundation were truth can grow in our lives. Any person or Minister involved in any kind of work for the Lord, must be part of a local church, if they are not then what they are doing is illegitimate and will not edify the Body of Christ. This is the reason why those who break away from the main church to establish their own work do not succeed. They have broken away from the headship of authority in their lives and in reality they have also broken away from their submission to God. Because God has and will always work through the local Church.

We need to teach our children by example of the importants of going to Church on a regular basis. If this generation does not see the importants of their local church then they will not be affective or successful in their future lives. Where ever you find a strong, healthy and influential community you will also find a strong local church within that area, the opposite is also true.

Matt 24:4-5 "And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am Christ, and will deceive many". 50% of the signs of the last days evolves around deception. Deception is the main sign in these last days. When people do not see the importants of the local Church then that's deception. Cell groups, Christian TV or Christian books do not and cannot replace the local church assembly. One of the main fruit of a true Christian is that he or she belongs to a local church and are also active in it.
